Reports about live shows.

Harry Dial

Harry Dial is a singer of Blues, Soul, and Country music. He played his wide variety of music Saturday evening at Mesquite Creek Outfitters in Caldwell. We heard tunes from John Prine, U2, Wilson Pickett, Marvin Gaye, Brook Benton, John Denver, Marc Cohen, and Blind Faith. I had to capture this classic from Jerry Jeff Walker.

Lindzey Autumn

Lindzey Autumn is a Treasure Valley singer/songwriter who can deliver sweet and sorrowful messages with a soulful, clear and beautiful voice. There is nothing shallow here. Just returning from a five-month maternity leave, she played a quiet and captivated Swirl Wine Shop & Lounge Friday evening. She grew up in Star, and wrote “How It Used To Be” about how the town has changed.

Dustin Morris

Dustin Morris is a long-time singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and touring artist, who has been making Soulful Indie-Folk with eccentric elements for 20+ years. He spent a few hours Sunday afternoon at the picturesque Kindred Vineyards at Caldwell. With some covers mixed in, Dustin did a show of mostly original music, including “Some Kind of Magic” the title track of his upcoming album.

Girl in the Garden is the project of Kate Plaisted, an Eagle, Idaho girl who was recently graduated from the prestigious University of Miami’s Frost School of Music. She played an interesting mix of covers and originals Saturday evening at The 112 in Nampa. Her covers included music from Stephen Sanchez, Stevie Nicks, Guns N’ Roses, Bill Withers, Zack Bryan, and Leonard Cohen. Here is “Montana”, the first Country song she wrote.
