Along the way we heard music from Quarterflash, The Byrds, Brandi Carlile, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Jewel, and Judy Collins. From her original portfolio she performed “The lesson”.

Brian & Rook Crouse, the father and son music machine, played an evening of covers Saturday night at Mesquite Creek Outfitters in Caldwell. Rook really knows how to make that electric guitar sing on this John Denver classic.

Tim Swanson Trio
The Tim Swanson Trio (Timothy Swanson on guitar, David Atwood on sax, and son Brandon Atwood on percussion) played an evening of covers at Las Calaveras Restaurant in Meridian Wednesday. Along the way, we heard music from Elvis Presley, Beatles, Glen Frey, Queen, Eagles, George Benson, Hall & Oates, Van Morrison, and this Gerry Rafferty classic.
Kiri
Kiri, a Boise singer/songwriter, played a program of mostly covers Saturday afternoon at Indian Creek Winery in Kuna. She does Billie Eilish songs especially well. “Final Goodbye” is an original.
Rochelle & The James Gang
Two-thirds of Rochelle & The James Gang (Rochelle Gabiola Harris
and her father James) played an evening of familiar (and beautifully done) covers Friday evening at Swirl Wine Shop & Lounge. I couldn’t imagine this Procol Harum classic without an organ, but I loved it!
Billy Blues Band
The Billy Blues Band, playing Rock, Soul and contemporary Blues, fulled Maddie’s Wine & Whiskey in Meridian with their tight grooves Thursday evening. This band has been around for 7 years, and it shows with how easy they make it look.
Cliff Miller
Cliff Miller, hailing from Horseshoe Bend, played a mix of country and pop at Mesquite Creek Outfitters on Saturday. Along the way, he played this new song called “Separated ‘Till Spring”.
Greg Hall and Amy Brown
One half of Kat Rodeo (Greg Hall & Amy Brown) played an evening of music Thursday night at Mesquite Creek Outfitters in Caldwell. The music was all over the board making for an entertaining evening. Here’s a song from Heart.
Joseph Valencia
Joseph Valencia, who lasted played Mesquite Creek Outfitters in Caldwell about a year ago, returned Friday evening. He played mostly Country, Folk and Americana covers, and this original written for his fiance.
