Will Burton is a singer/songwriter from Nampa by way of Jackson, TN. On Friday evening, he played to an enthusiastic crowd at Crescent Brewery in Nampa. He’s got some music for you to check out on his Spotify, which you can find with a link in his Instagram profile. Here’s a song (written by a friend in Nashville) that Will hopes to record as a single called “Smokin’ Cigarettes”.
Billy Braun, a Boise-based musician, played a vintage show at Vintage 61 Wine Bar & Kitchen in Meridian Wednesday, December 11, 2024. Along the way, we heard music performed by Johnny Cash, Simon & Garfunkel, Louie Armstrong, Dean Martin, Roger Miller, and more. I also caught Billy bringing a little holiday cheer.
Matty J & the Grays (Matty J on rhythm guitar & lead vocals, Nik Mathews on lead guitar, Landonious on bass, & David Kelley on drums) played Whiskey River in Downtown Nampa on Saturday, December 7. I’ve seen half these guys do acoustic shows and I was excited to see the whole band. A good amount of Rock and Blues was heard, including this George Michael classic.
Andrew Chappell & Dave Nudo teamed up to put on quite the show at The 112 in Nampa Saturday evening. These guys are “country” through and through and they can rockabilly like nobody’s business. They can also come out with a gorgeous love song written by Andrew and aided by Dave’s nimble guitar work. Here’s a sample of the title track of Andrew’s album “Reckless“, released this year.
Bronson & Co., a Treasure Valley cover duo, played Mesquite Creek Outfitters Friday evening. We heard tunes from artists like Creedence Clearwater Revival, Bill withers, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Van Morrison, Stevie Wonder, and this from Maroon 5.
Emily Tipton & Jonah Shue found a corner of the Indian Creek Winery tasting room for a Saturday afternoon of eclectic music. This duo can do everything from bluegrass to jazz standards, and you never know what’s coming next. Here is some heavenly music I captured for you.
Hip Sounds (a moniker for Hipolito Delgato) plays music styles from the classic rhythms of Big Band and Jazz, to the vibrant beats of Latin and Salsa. Originally from the Bay area, Hip’s smooth sounds could be heard at Swirl Wine Shop and Lounge in Nampa Friday, November 22, 2024. He even brought us a little Christmas cheer.
Andrew Kinsey, who brings REAL country music to Boise and beyond, trotted out an evening full of Country (and Country-ish) music Friday, November 15, 2024 at Mesquite Creek Outfitters in Caldwell. Here’s a song he wrote while his wife was pregnant called “Make your mama cry”.
Camille Hugo, who describes herself as a Vintage girl living in a modern world, played The Vintage 61 Wine Bar & Kitchen in Meridian on Thursday, November 14, 2024. Camille is a young woman with an old soul who sings like a bird. I visit her “Simpler Times Session” on Spotify often for a feel-good experience.
Corey James Grubb a Folk/Country/Blues musician from Mountain Home, played Mesquite Creek Outfitters in Caldwell Friday night. Corey has some impressive musical tricks up his sleeve like some fancy guitar picking and a pretty mean harmonica. Here’s a song about things he needs to quit.
